China whipped Puerto Rico 73-62 here to claim its second consecutive win at the Stankovic Continental Champions Cup basketball tournament.
All 12 Chinese players scored Saturday, but top star Yi Jianlian had to leave the court in the second half due an injury, reports Xinhua.
Puerto Rico surged to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter before China answered by winning seven consecutive points as well in the second period as Wang Shipeng buried three 3-pointers in a row to help China establish a 7-point advantage - 52-45 at halftime.
"We did a good job on defence and rebound control but too many turnovers," said China's Greek coach Yannakis.
"A good start is very important. Hope we can concentrate more at the beginning of the upcoming game and more aggressive in offence."
Carlos Lopez scored a game-high 15 points for Puerto Rico, followed by Derick Beltran's 14 points.
