Chinese businessman Liu Dejian, founder of online gaming company NetDragon Websoft and a "Star Trek" fan, has modelled his company's new headquarters on the Starship Enterprise spacecraft, the main setting for several productions in the Star Trek franchise.
The 'Enterprise' is located in Fuzhou in the south-eastern Chinese province of Fujian, and was built with permission from the American broadcasting network CBS, which owns the Star Trek brand, Efe news agency reported.
The replica was built at a cost of about $160 million and is the size of three soccer fields.
"Trekkie" Liu, 43, a pioneer of the Chinese videogame sector, is currently ranked 320th in the list of China's wealthiest businessmen, according to Forbes.
