Rajya Sabha member Kunal Ghosh, in jail as an undertrial in the Saradha chit fund scam, will be out on parole for two hours on Thursday to meet his ailing mother.
The journalist turned politician had applied for interim bail to visit her mother in a city nursing home.
However, a lower court rejected the appeal, but agreed to release him on two-hour parole on humanitiarian grounds.
Ghosh - group CEO of Saradha Media - was arrested on November 23, 2013, for his alleged involvement in the multi-billion rupee scandal.
