A cold wave has gripped Rajasthan as the temperature continued to dip. All the cities in the state are recording below average minimum temperatures for the last few days, Met officials said on Saturday.
The capital recorded 7.2 degrees Celsius on Friday night while Jobner, a town in Jaipur district, recorded minus 2.5 degrees, an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
At least 10 cities recorded temperatures of below three degrees.
On Friday night, Fatehpur recorded minus 4.2 degree Celsius. Churu registered zero degree Celsius, Bhilwara registered 0.2 degree Celsius, Mt. Abu and Sikar recorded one degree, Alwar had 2.4 degrees, Chittaurgarh had 2.6 degrees, Dabok 2.8 degrees, Pilani 2.9 degrees and Ganganagar had 3.2 degrees Celsius.
Met officials have predicted a further dip in temperature and dense fog will grip the state in next 24 hours.
