Actor Colin Farrell is reportedly negotiating his return to TV to star in the second season of hit crime drama "True Detective".
Matthew MCConaughey and Woody Harrelson played troubled police detectives trying to solve a 17-year-old murder case in the 2014 anthology series.
A new set of actors are due to take over the lead roles for season two and now "Total Recall" star Farrell has become the latest name to be linked to a part, reports thewrap.com.
Farrell last appeared on the small screen in a 2005 appearance on US TV series "Scrubs", while he also had a major TV role in BBC drama series "Ballykissangel" in the late 1990s.
Christian Bale and Jessica Chastain were previously linked to roles in "True Detective", but they have denied they are involved with the project.
