Juventus defender Frederik Soerensen joined German football club Cologne, both sides confirmed on Saturday.
The 23-year-old defender agreed on a four-year deal that will keep him till June 2019 with the 'Billygoats'. The new arrival received jersey No.4, reports Xinhua.
"I am glad that we were able to sign centre back Frederik Soerensen. Despite his young age he proved himself in Italy's Serie A," Cologne sporting director Joerg Schmadtke said.
Soerensen played two seasons at Bologna and one at Hellas Verona on loan, where he scored two goals in 52 appearances.
"Cologne is an interesting club and its development impresses me. Of course, Cologne is well known in Denmark and Italy. I am pleased to be part of such a club," the new arrival said.
Cologne host Stuttgart in the first round of Bundesliga on August 15.
