Atletico Mineiro and Corinthians have registered their 30-man squads ahead of their 2016 Copa Libertadores campaigns, the South American version of the UEFA Champions League.
Corinthians, who last won the tournament in 2012 before going on to beat reigning English Premier League (EPL) champions Chelsea in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup, added latest recruitment Valbuena to their list on Tuesday, who they recently signed from Paraguayan outfit Libertad, reports Xinhua.
In addition, holding midfielder Cristian, initially out of manager Tite's plans for the coming season, has been registered for the tournament following the loss of Ralf to the Chinese Super League.
Meanwhile, 2013 Libertadores champions Atletico have registered their biggest signing of the off-season, Robinho, as well as highly sought-after center forward Lucas Pratto, who has been linked with a move to Europe.
Corinthians kick off their Copa Libertadores campaign on Wednesday night away to Chilean club Cobresal.
Atletico also travel for their first game in the continental competition on Wednesday to face Melgar of Peru.
