Cuban Luis Enrique Paterson has won the gold medal in the Junior Men's Sword World Cup.
This is the fourth consecutive year El Salvador held the Junior Men's Sword World Cup, reports Xinhua.
The Cuban fencer said he was very happy for the victory, despite he felt very nervous at the beginning of the tournament for having to face athletes with very good level.
"I hope this victory will open the doors for new competitions to continue representing my country," said the young fencer after winning on Sunday.
He greeted his family and coaches and dedicated them the good result of the tournament.
Silver medal was for Eduardo Garcia, from Peru, while bronze medal was for Cristian Edenilson Mejia, from El Salvador.
