CWC passes resolution favouring Telangana

The Congress Working Committee Tuesday passed a resolution urging the central government to take steps to carve out a separate state of Telangana.

The CWC meeting followed an earlier meeting of the United Progressive Alliance's co-ordination committee which endorsed statehood for Telangana.
