Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, condoled the demise of Poland's first non-communist prime minister Tadeusz Mazowiecki and remembered him as a friend of the Tibetan people., his office said here Thursday.
In a letter to the family of Mazowiecki, the Nobel laureate expressed his sadness and offered prayers and condolences.
Recalling his meetings with Mazowiecki, the Dalai Lama expressed his admiration for his leadership.
Mazowiecki died on Monday at the age of 86, Polish media reported.
