Darsheel inspired by Aamir Khan's character (Movie Snippets)

Actor Darsheel Safary, who will be seen romancing a girl on a TV show, says he drew inspiration from superstar Aamir Khan's character from "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak".

"I drew inspiration from Aamir uncle's character from 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'. My career in the industry so far has been shaped by him. He is my mentor. My dream is to do more films with him as I look up to him," Darsheel said in a statement.

The 18-year-old actor will be seen essaying the role of a teenager, who is in love with his childhood friend and would go to any extent to impress her on the show "Sun Yaar Try Maar". It will be aired on Bindaas channel on Sunday.

Asked whether he is still in touch with Aamir, Darsheel said: "Yes! I'm very much in touch with Aamir uncle. I keep taking advice from him as to what roles I should do and what I shouldn't."

Darsheel wooed the audience with his exemplary performance in Aamir's 2007 film "Taare Zameen Par".

Fawad Khan joins Instagram

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan might not be addicted to Twitter and Facebook like most of the celebrities, but he still decided to join the image-sharing site Instagram.

Fawad was welcomed on Instagram by his "Kapoor And Sons" co-stars Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt.

"Welcome my bro fawadkhan81 to the Instagram world, more power and love #kapoorandsons," Sidharth posted on Twitter on Thursday.

Alia also posted on the micro-blogging site saying: "And the other Kapoor is finally on Instagram! Follow fawadkhan81 #KapoorAndSons #PromotionsBegin @S1dharthM."

He hogged the limelight in India when he appeared in the 2014 film "Khoobsurat". He even received the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui 'amazed' by Big B's 'TE3N' role

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui says he is "truly amazed" by megastar Amitabh Bachchan's performance in the upcoming film "TE3N" and feels this is the reason why he is called "the best".

Nawazuddin, who will be seen alongside Amitabh and Vidya Balan in the Ribhu Dasgupta directorial, took to Twitter on Thursday to share his experience of working with the "Piku" actor.

"Truly amazed by the character played by #SrBachchan in #Te3n. This is the reason we regard you as the best#respect #motivation," Nawazuddin, best known for his roles in films like "Gangs of Wasseypur", "The Lunchbox", "Kick" and "Manjhi - The Mountain Man", said in a statement.
