David D'Souza scripted history at the Toyota Karnataka Golf Festival here Monday when his score of 34 points won the overall 0-5 handicap category competition and earned him a spot for the third time in the 2014 World Golfers Championship (WGC) to be held in Durban in November.
Along with David D'Souza, the team will comprise of Balasubramanya R, who won the 6-10 category with 38 points, the winner of 11-15 category Dhananjay Das (41 points), Rishi Kshettry (39 points in 16-20 category) and Aditya Goyal (36 points in 21-24 category).
Arun Murugappan and Dhananjay Das of Chennai came up with a formidable show, notching up 76 points en route to their team victory. They both won a couple holiday voucher for for seven nights and eight days. M.A. Poovaiah and Vighnesh Hebbar from Bengaluru fell short by two points in the team competition to finish runners up.
