Debra Messing to make Broadway debut

Actress Debra Messing is set to make her Broadway debut in a new play written by the Oscar-winning director of "Doubt".

The former "Will and Grace" star will appear in John Patrick Shanley's "Outside Mullingar" as an Irish woman, who falls in love with her neighbour, reports contactmusic.com.

Doug Hughes will direct the production, which will be staged at New York's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre beginning Jan 2, 2014.
