The decomposed body of an unidentified male was found on the Yamuna river bank near the Art of Living's World Culture Festival venue on Monday, police said.
The body was recovered around 1 p.m. after a commuter informed police.
"The body was fully decomposed. We could only identify that it is a male body. We are yet to ascertain the age of the deceased," a police officer said.
Prima facie, the man was killed two-three days ago somewhere else and the body was dumped just after the Art of Living festival ended, the official said.
The body, which was found a few metres from gate No.11 of the festival venue, was sent for post-mortem examination.
The World Culture Festival was held here from March 11 to 13.
