The union cabinet Wednesday approved transfer of defence land to the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) in Purnea district of Bihar, an official said.
Land from the Air Force Station in Purnea and measuring 12.91 acres will be transferred to the KVS for construction of a new school building and associated infrastructure.
"This would facilitate provision of adequate educational facilities to the children of both defence personnel and civilians," the official said.
