Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has urged Brazilian fans to support his team during La Roja's final Confederations Cup Group B match against Nigeria here Sunday.
Spain drew a lukewarm reception from fans during their 2-1 victory over Uruguay in Recife before being booed in last Thursday's 10-0 win over Tahiti in Rio de Janeiro, reports Xinhua.
"I wouldn't say the crowd wasn't against Spain at the Maracana. They were on the side of Tahiti, for obvious reasons," Del Bosque said on the eve of Sunday's match at the Castelao Stadium.
"But supporters are also capable of recognising when the best football is being played. I hope that we can do that tomorrow and that the crowd will be on our side."
Spain only needs a draw against Nigeria to guarantee a top spot finish in their group in the World Cup warm-up tournament.
