The Delhi Legal Service Authority's (DLSA) special Lok Adalat has settled 2,807 electricity billing dispute cases of BSES Yamuna Power Limited, one of the capital's three power distribution companies (discoms), involving a settlement amount of Rs 9 crore, an official said on Monday.
DLSA's spokesperson said that a special Lok Adalat for electricity billing cases of BSES Yamuna Power was held on January 14 and 15 at two premises simultaneously -- Karkardooma Courts complex and the permanent Lok Adalat Building near Mata Sundari College a ITO.
"In this Lok Adalat, a total of 2,807 cases were settled out of 3,082 cases taken up and therein settlement amount was approximately Rs 9.45 crore," the DLSA spokesperson said.
