The aide of sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) in Delhi was arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs.20,000 from a complainant, said a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) official said Monday.
Ram Kishan Sharma, posted as a reader to the SDM of Daryaganj in central Delhi, was caught red handed Oct 17 while accepting the bribe from a complainant for settling the case of his shop, situated in Kishan Ganj market, for causing noise pollution, the official said.
Sharma was produced next day before a special court, which sent him to judicial custody for 14 days.
