Delhi's GSDP growth rate saw a decline from 8.82 per cent in 2015-16 to 8.26 per cent in 2016-17, according to the advance estimates in Delhi's Economic Survey report, tabled in the assembly on Tuesday.
According to the report, the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Delhi at constant prices increased to Rs 498,217 crore in fiscal 2016-17 from Rs 460,217 a year ago, a growth of 8.26 per cent.
"The growth rate of Delhi is likely to achieve 8.26 per cent during 2016-17 compared to the national average of 7.1 per cent," it said.
In 2015-16, in financial terms, Delhi had seen a growth rate of 8.82 per cent, according to the report.
The per capita income at constant prices is estimated to reach Rs 240,318 in 2016-17 compared to Rs 226,583 in the last financial year -- nearly three times the national average that stands at Rs 82,112 currently.
