It was a hot Thursday in the capital with maximum temperature soaring up to 35.1 degrees Celsius - one notch above average. Light rains have been forecast for Friday.
Thursday's minimum temperature settled three notches above average at 23.8 degrees while the humidity wavered between a high of 90 percent and low of 53 percent.
Friday is likely to begin on sunny note and some parts of the city may see light rains later in the day, said a met department official.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 34 and 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
