The toll from dengue in West Bengal has climbed to six with the death of a youth, an official said on Tuesday.
"We received a report of a death of a young man at a private hospital in Kolkata today (Tuesday). The toll for this year is six," said director of health services Biswaranjan Satpathy.
He also said the number of cases due to the vector-borne virus is declining.
Over 3,600 people were affected by dengue this year, he said.
Satpathy said the state government is taking all steps to tackle an outbreak in Birbhum district.
