Popular southern cinema composer Devi Sri Prasad, who has over 50 albums to his credit, has finally decided to don the greasepaint for a yet-untitled Telugu project, which will be directed by his close friend and filmmaker Sukumar.
Announcing this officially in a statement, the makers revealed that the project will go on floors next year and will be produced by Dil Raju.
"Prasad has been getting acting offers over the last few years but he never took them seriously. However, he was bowled over by Sukumar's script and finally decided to give acting a shot," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
Tipped to be a musical entertainer, Prasad will also compose the tunes for the project, which will reportedly feature two heroines.
Cinematographer Rathnavelu has been roped in to handle the camera.
