Santhanam-starrer Tamil horror-comedy "Dhilukku Dhuddu" has grossed over Rs 12 crore at the box-office on its opening weekend in Tamil Nadu.

"Thanks to the long Eid weekend, the film has turned out to be very successful. In the four-day weekend in Tamil Nadu, it grossed over Rs 12 crore and that's a phenomenal start," trade analyst Trinath told IANS.

Directed by Rambala, the film is partly a spoof on horror-comedies.

"The spoof angle really worked in the film's favour. The masses loved it," he said.

Also starring Shanaya, Saurabh Shukla and Anand Raj, the film was produced by Sri Thenandal Films.
