Rhiti Sports Management Pvt. Ltd. Monday said that Mahendra Singh Dhoni was a shareholder but the shares were transferred back to the company in April after the payments to the India captain was cleared.
"As on date, MSD has no shares in Rhiti Sports Management. However, some shares were allotted to MSD on March 22, 2013, only to secure certain old outstandings that were due for more than a year," Arun Pandey, chairman and managing director of Rhiti Sports, said in a statement.
Pandey, however, said that the payments were cleared in April and the shares were transferred back to the company April 26.
"We at Rhiti Sports are greatly aggrieved at the widespread media reports regarding alleged conflict of interest of MSD. It is made clear that the management has its obligations to the field of sport and the country and adheres to the laws of the land," he said.
