Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has entered into an endorsement agreement with beverage company Coca-Cola India.

Coca-Cola in Punjab signed an endorsement agreement with Diljit wherein he will be associating with a range of consumer activation and marketing programmes for the brand.

Diljit, who has also featured in films like "Jatt & Juliet" and "Sardaar Ji", shared that the platform will allow him to spread joy and make his fans happy.

"Being an artist and an entertainer, I feel fortunate to have a platform that allows me to spread joy and bring a smile on the face of my fans.

"Now, my association with an indisputable icon of happiness, brand Coca-Cola, will amplify this effort, making for a perfect happiness recipe with a Punjabi 'tadka'," Diljit said in a statement.

He has been chosen as "his appeal cuts across age groups and socio-economic strata, just like Coca-Cola and his personality reflects the brand's core values of optimism, joy and happiness", said Debabrata Mukherjee, vice president, Marketing and Commercial, Coca-Cola India and South West Asia.

The brand will begin its association with Diljit through the Independence Day special episode of "Coke Studio Season 4", which will be aired on Friday.

Based on this premise, the special episode will see the collaboration of Diljit with singer Gurdas Mann for the track "Ki banu duniya da".

Diljit joins actors Deepika Padukone, Farhan Akhtar, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra, who continue to be Coca-Cola's national brand ambassadors.
