Discussions on BJP membership drive in Kolkata Oct 31

Ahead of its nationwide membership drive beginning Nov 1, BJP in-charges of 11 states and some top leaders will meet here Oct 31 to finalise the party's strategy, a senior leader said Tuesday.

"Among the national level leaders who will attend the deliberations are general secretary (organisation) Ram Lal and general secretary J.P. Nadda. Leaders of Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Assam and northeastern states will be present," said West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party president Rahul Sinha.

"Nationally, the central leadership will begin the membership drive Nov 1. We will also launch the membership drive from that day. We will begin at the state level, and then move to the district and mondal level," he said.

The top BJP leadership has divided the pan India party organisation into four sectors for holding stategy meetings. "Bengal is one of the four sectors. So we will host the meeting of 11 states," said Sinha.
