DMK leader Duraimurugan on Wednesday said DMDK leader L.K. Sudhish had approached him for electoral alliance with his party for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking to reporters here, Duraimurugan said Sudhish told him that the DMDK, led by actor Vijayakanth, will come away from Tamil Nadu's ruling AIADMK and ally with his party.
He, however, said that the DMDK leader had approached him at the last moment and his party had no seats to be shared with the DMDK.
Even as the DMDK was holding talks with the AIADMK here, some of its leaders had approached Duraimurugan for an alliance.
Reacting to Duraimurugan's statement, Sudhish said he had spoken to the DMK leader earlier, but did not answer questions as to why the party officials had met Duraimurugan on Wednesday.
