Rio de Janeiro, June 11 (IANS/EFE) After recovering from his injury, Dutch midfielder Jonathan de Guzman has joined the last training session of his team ahead of the FIFA World Cup which kicks off Thursday.

De Guzman is ready for his side's opener against Spain Friday, reports EFE.

The Netherlands, which lies in Group B along with Australia, Chile and Spain, will fly to Salvador for Friday's game.

In the last session here Monday, de Guzman was training normally with his colleagues after being ruled out over a muscle injury for weeks. But the decision of de Guzman's participation in the games lies with coach Louis van Gaal.
