Egypt hails Sharjah's support

Sharjah, Aug 21 (IANS/WAM) Egypt has appreciated the initiatives to help its people as undertaken by Sharjah's ruler Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi.

Egyptian Ambassador to UAE Tamer Mansour also hailed the $2 million donation by Sheikh Sultan to renovate of Faculty of Engineering of University of Cairo, which was damaged during the dispersion of el-Nahda square sit-in.

Sharjah's ruler also ordered the construction of mosques that would carry the names of martyrs of Rafah massacre, and construction of 18 areas hard hit during the crises in El- Giza province, the envoy noted.
