The CID on Saturday busted an arms factory, arrested eight people and seized arms and ammunition in West Bengal, police said.

A team of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) raided a house at Kalyani in Nadia district late Friday from where several country-made guns, live ammunition and crude bombs were recovered.

"We have arrested eight people in this connection. We have seized at least 25 firearms, some ammunition and nearly 100 crude bombs," said a CID officer.

The CID on August 16 seized huge quantities of bomb making material including ammonium nitrate, from a warehouse in Kolkata.
