Eliminating nuclear weapons in the region is his country's strategic priority, the US Secretary of State John Kerry said here.
He said that his country was concerned about the activities carried out by Iran in some other countries, Xinhua cited Kerry as saying on Saturday.
"We have also concerns about the support received by some terrorists groups, like Hezbollah, or Iran's self-support for its missiles programme," he said.
Kerry on Saturday also met with foreign ministers from the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) during a meeting in Riyadh.
He underscored the importance of the partnership between the US and the GCC countries.
Meanwhile, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir said their meeting discussed the Iranian interference in the region's affairs.
