Actor-filmmaker Eriq Lasalle is set to join the cast of "Wolverine 3" starring Hugh Jackman.
Boyd Holbrook and Stephen Merchant are also on board with James Mangold as director, reports variety.com.
David James Kelly has penned the script.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, as are details behind Lasalle's role.
Best known for his portrayal of Dr. Peter Benton on NBC's medical drama "ER," Lasalle most recently recurred on CBS' "A Gifted Man" and "The Widow Man".
Lasalle has also been directing episodes of TV shows such as "CSI: Cyber", "Madame Secretary", "Crisis", "Battle Creek" and "Night Shift."
