Actress Eva Mendes feels that she hasn't yet earned her stripes as mother while her own mother has -- and she plans to bombard her with love on Mother's Day.
The 41-year-old actress, who has seven-month-old Esmeralda with partner Ryan Gosling, has no plans to celebrate the special day this weekend because she doesn't think she's been a parent long enough.
"There is no plan. I kind of feel like I haven't quite earned my stripes yet in a way. She's seven months (old)," Mendes told accesshollywood.com.
Instead, the "Hitch" actress, whose brother Carlos Mendez is believed to be battling cancer, plans to visit her own mother and "bombard her with love".
"This Mother's Day is definitely all about my mom. She's had a really hard year. My brother's sick, so it's all about my mom, honouring her. We're all going to go over to her house and bombard her with love," she added.
