Evans knocks out Tomic, advances to Australian Open

British tennis player Daniel Evans defeated local boy Bernard Tomic to enter the fourth round of the Australian Open here on Friday.

Evans, World No.51, defeated Tomic 7-5, 7-6 (2), 7-6 (3) in two hours and 48 minutes, reports Efe

Evans will now take on Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, World No.12, who defeated United States Jack Sock 7-6 (4), 7-5, 6-7 (10), 6-3.
