Former Congress MLA from Timarpur Surinder Pal Singh Bittoo joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday.
"I am grateful to the senior AAP leaders to have given me this opportunity to work in the party that has been working and struggling for every section of the society," he told mediapersons here.
Bittoo was associated with the Congress since 1977. He contested and won the Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections that year.
Before joining politics, Bittoo dealt in automobile spare parts.
