FEI World Jumping Challenge concludes

Embassy International Riding School on Sunday successfully organised the grand finale of the FEI World Jumping Challenge under the aegis of the Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) and the Federation Equestrian International (FEI).

The tournament was conducted over three days -- November 30, December 2 and 9 at Embassy International Riding School here.

Rishab Mehta of United Riders Barn of Bangalore was the champion for FEI World Jumping Challenge in Category A of 1.20-1.30 m show jumping.

Pranay Khare of United Riders barn was the champion for FEI Category B of 1.10-1.20 m show jumping. Basavaraju S of Embassy International Riding School was the champion for FEI Category C of 1.00 -1.10 m show jumping.

Silva Storai, Director, Embassy International Riding School said: "It is our privilege to host the FEI world jumping challenge at Embassy International Riding School. The EIRS has European-standard footing at the jumping arena, which has given us the confidence to host the national and International events. We have seen some of the best riders participating at this year's challenge. We are glad that we have been able to support the talents by providing this platform".

FEI World Jumping Challenge (FEI WJC) is divided into ten geographical zones and India falls into Zone 9 which also includes Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Pakistan and Philippines. The FEI WJC has three Categories of Jumping and is spread over 3 competitions of 2 rounds each.

The aim of this competition is to provide opportunities to riders from developing countries to compete internationally, without having to leave their own country. The courses were common for all competing countries which are designed by the FEI Course designers, and judged by an International Judge with Jury member from the hosting countries.
