FIH World Cup: England beat Argentina in quarters
England edged past Argentina 3-2 in a pulsating quarterfinal match of the hockey World Cup here on Wednesday.
Veteran dragflick expert Gonzalo Peilat (17th, 48th minutes) converted a couple of penalty corners for Argentina.
England fought back to level terms through a field goal by Barry Middleton (27th) before Will Calnan (44th) gave them the lead late in the third quarter.
Harry Martin (49th) scored the third goal for England.
