A Filipino man has transformed himself into a carbon copy of "Superman" after a series of 26 painful cosmetic surgeries, the media reported on Friday.
"The most painful surgical procedure was on my six pack," said 39-year-old Herbert Chavez, who claims to be the superhero's biggest fan.
The 26 operations which the costume shop owner has endured include on his face, body and even eyes, to change their colour.
His obsession with Superman goes back to his childhood, when he began collecting memorabilia of the superhero, a collection that has grown to include at least 1,253 Superman-related items which has also earned him a Guinness World Record.
His fixation with superheroes is also seen in his personal life as his partner Roland Teves Junior, with whom he has been living for the past year, is called "Batman".
