Multiplex chain operator PVR has created a film-based health education programme titled "Film for Change" to spread awareness amongst children about the benefits of good health.

PVR is doing this through its social programme and registered foundation PVR Nest, and Agro Tech Foods Limited.

Around 400 students from schools like Banyan Tree, Apeejay, Pinnacle, Bal Bhawan, Manav Bharti and Little Ones Public School participated in the program that was organised at PVR Anupam Cinema in Saket, Tuesday.

It started with presentations by different school, which was followed by the screening of the film "Turbo", an animated sports comedy.

"We are extremely happy to create education and action on this very important issue of children's and family health and nutrition using the innovative mediums of films," Deepa Menon, vice president - CSR, PVR Limited, said in a statement.

As many as 3,000 children across the country have been educated.

"Through this association, we have been able to inculcate healthy eating habits in the children and enlighten them on the importance of right nutrition," said Narasimha Rao, Vice President- Human Resources at Agro Tech Foods Limited.

There was also an interactive health education session with the students by clinical nutritionist Ishi Khosla, who highlighted the nutritional benefits of peanut butter and urged kids to become responsible for their family's health.
