An FIR was lodged against two Bihar ministers for violating the model code of conduct during Tuesday's elections to the legislative council, police said.
Polls to 24 legislative council seats were held on Tuesday. Balloting passed off peacefully at 534 centres across the state.
"A case was lodged against Bihar's Education Minister P.K. Shahi and Road Construction Minister Lalan Singh as they reached the polling booths to cast their votes in their red-beacon official vehicles in violation of the model code of conduct," a district police official said.
The first information report (FIR) was lodged at the Gandhi Maidan police station here.
The state election commission said a turnout of 94 percent was recorded. Altogether, 152 contestants were in the fray.
