Fire in Jammu zoo, leopard runs out of zoo limits

A leopard ran out of the zoo here on Wednesday evening after a fire, police said.

"A leopard has reportedly run out of Jammu Mandi Zoo near Hari Palace in panic after fire broke out inside," a police officer told IANS.

"A high alert has been sounded in areas around the zoo and wildlife department teams assisted by police are out to locate the leopard and take it back to the zoo," the officer said.

The officer said the fire was being brought under control and its cause was being established.
