At least five bodies were Monday recovered in Pakistan's Mohmand tribal region where a recent surprise attack on the security forces had left six soldiers dead, media reported.
The bodies, yet unidentified, were found in the Uthmanzai area of the region which remains under curfew, Dawn reported citing official sources.
All the deceased appeared to have been shot dead, official sources said.
Recently there has been an increase in attacks in the Bajaur and Mohmand tribal areas as the factions of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in these areas have declared war on the Pakistani government.
