At least five construction workers were killed after they fell from a scaffolding in Beijing Tuesday, authorities said Wednesday.
The accident happened at a construction site in Beijing's Tongzhou district. The workers fell from the sixth floor when the scaffolding leaned, reported Xinhua.
The Beijing administration has launched an investigation into the accident.
Work at the construction site has been halted and the authorities have launched safety checkups targeting all construction sites in the district.
