Five persons have died in a collision between a car and a lorry in Staffordshire, northwest England, the police said on Wednesday.
The accident occurred on the southbound carriage between Junction 15 for Stoke-on-Trent and Junction 14 for Stafford, Xinhua news agency reported.
"We are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision on the M6 in which five people have died and one person is critically injured," said the Staffordshire Police.
