Five killed in Uttar Pradesh train accident

At least five people were killed and over 50 injured as Gorakhdham Express Monday ramped into a stationary goods train at Sant Kabir Nagar, 230 km from here, officials said.

The district administration, involved in the rescue and relief operation, confirmed death of five people. It said the number of casualties could be higher.

The accident took place near Khalilabad rail station.

Six bogies of the Express train were derailed.

Senior railway officials have rushed to the spot.
