Five security personnel have been killed and 24 others injured this year in 251 cases of ceasefire violations by the Pakistan Army, Parliament was informed on Friday.
Out of the five, four were soldiers who died during ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir while one was a Border Security Force personnel killed during violations along the international border, Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre told the Lok Sabha in a written reply.
Three civilians were also killed during the incidents.
According to Bhamre, 228 ceasefire violations were reported along the LoC till July 11 and 23 along the international border in Jammu and Kashmir till June 30.
