Four people were arrested here for robbing a taxi at gunpoint, police said on Friday.
Those arrested have been identified as Praveen Kumar, Vipin Kumar, Ajay Kumar and Love Tomar, all around 20 years of age.
They had looted a private taxi near a hospital on Railway Road here at gunpoint late on Wednesday night.
They thrashed taxi driver Anil Tyagi and robbed him of his cash, mobile phone and ATM card and the car, police said.
The accused have been sent to one-day police remand.
Police Commissioner Navdeep Singh Virk said: "The cops who arrested the accused will be rewarded for their fine work."
