Four killed in explosion in Madagascar

Four people, including a six-year-old child, were killed while 37 others were injured in an explosion here, police said Saturday.

The blast took place in Anosy area of Antananarivo Saturday evening when people were coming out of Mahamasina Stadium after attending the swearing in ceremony of the newly elected President Hery Rajaonarimampianina, Xinhua quoted police as saying.

Police said the explosion was caused by a grenade hurled into the crowd. Armed forces were rushed to the spot.
