Los Angeles, April 27 (IANS) Hollywood actor James Franco is said to be in talks to replace actor Jude Law in director Werner Herzog's "Queen of the Desert", a biopic on writer-explorer Gertrude Bell.
The film's narrative follows the life of Bell, who was even a political attache for the British empire. She was considered a trailblazer at the turn of the 20th century.
Franco is likely to play the historical figure's lover Henry Cadogan, with whom she was until his untimely death, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Franco will star alongside actress Naomi Watts, who will play the historic writer and archaeologist. The film also features Robert Pattinson.
