Commercial pilot training firm FSTC (Flight Simulation Technique Centre) Friday said it has received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval for its Airbus A320 simulator, making it the only centre in the region to have this approval.

"It is a great achievement for FSTC to be recognized as an EASA operator in such a short span of operation time. It is surely a matter of national pride to be recognized as a quality training service provider along with the other training facilities around the world," said Captain Sanjay Mandavia, founder of FSTC.

The company is a joint venture (JV) between Flywings Aviation Group and SIM Industries BV, Netherlands, a Lockheed Martin Company.

According to the company, the country will see a huge demand of trained manpower in the sector for the narrow body aircraft in the coming time.

It is also targeting several international airlines and pilots to use its world class training facilities as these could prove cost effectiveness.

The training centre also has plans to install six full flight simulators in three stages over the period of the next 18 months.

"With our presence in India will be huge savings for airlines and private pilots. Our simulators are latest and use third generation technology, which save huge power consumptions," said Captain Dilawar Singh Basraon, co-founder and accountable manager of FSTC.

Currently, the company's facilities are used by airlines such as Spicejet, Indigo, Jet Airways, and JetLite to train their pilots.
